Hello everyone! How is your weekend going so far? It's Memorial Day weekend, so I do hope everyone is staying safe! We decided to catch a movie Friday since there is a possibility of bad storms for the better part of the day today. We decided to go watch the latest antics of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Have you had a chance to see the movie yet? I won't post any spoilers, just in case... I'll just say that I am not complaining that we saw the movie, but I could have done without it, as well. I really hope they are done with this movie franchise. It just seems that Johnny Depp was trying to hard to be funny in this one. It just all seemed forced. The story line was okay, no complaints there and the acting was good, of course (except for Johnny trying too hard). I definitely did not care for the villain this time around... Captain Salazar aka Javier Bardem. I told my bestie and my boyfriend that they should have just gone with "Negan" aka Jeffrey Dean Morgan... At least then they would have had the better looking of the look-a-likes. Have you ever noticed that Javier looks like a less attractive Jeffrey Dean? Plus, he would have been easier to understand. Javier was a little hard to follow with his accent (Please... His name is Jack Sparrow, not Yack Sperrrow... UGH!) Okay, enough staring at Jeffrey and drooling... lol... Back to my post.... With a movie, a quick trip to Wal-Mart (I picked up a few new clear acrylic blocks... YAY!... Because I've given a few away in some Paper Pumpkin kits that I've gifted to people) and grabbing a bite to eat, That didn't leave a lot of time for crafting. : ( I did manage to slip into my craft space for a quick bit, though... I am still absolutely LOVING this daisy stamp set and matching punch from Stampin' Up. I mostly make birthday cards, but needed a congratulations type card, so I grabbed the daisy stamp set and punch along with the That's The Tag stamp set (for the sentiment) and came up with this. This is my first attempt at Triple Time Stamping and I am in love with this technique! does that not look completely awesome?? I hope the recipient thinks it's just as awesome as I do... I'm hoping for a little more craft time later today, but I'm not banking on it. Keep your fingers crossed for me, though. : ) Until next time... Happy Crafting! Hello! How was your weekend? Did you get a chance to craft? I certainly hope so! Feel free to pop on over to my Facebook Page and share some pics of your projects, I'd love to see what you've been working on! : ) I had a 3 day weekend, so I got a few chances to venture into my craft space this weekend. In addition to working on the new Paper pumpkin kit, Sprinkled With Love and doing a live video in my Facebook Group, I also played with some of the new stamp sets and dies that will be coming out in the brand new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up catalog. Have you had a chance to view the new catalog yet? My wish list is a mile long! I think the catalog is great. You can view a PDF version online, if you'd like. If you prefer a hard copy that you can hold in your hands and drool over : ), I'd love to send you a copy. I will gladly pay the cost of the catalog, if you are willing to pay the shipping charge of $6.95 through PayPal. If this sounds good to you, just drop me an email or message me. I'll get your mailing info, send you an invoice through PayPal and get your catalog shipped to you asap. : ) Now onto the fun stuff...... crafting!! My first two projects were birthday cards (coz you can never have too many birthday cards!). I decided to play with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the Happy Birthday Die and a few of the products from the Eastern Palace bundle. For my third card, I decided to switch to a Father's Day card (it will be here before you know it!). Using the Wood Words stamp set, Wood Crate Thinlits Dies and the Wood Textures DSP stack, this card turned out really great and came together so easily! I'm really hoping to play with this set some more really soon because you can also cut out a crate with one of the dies. That is going to make such a cute little treat holder! I'll be sure to share some pics when I get a chance to make one!
Well, my 3 day weekend is up, back to work I go later today, so probably no craft time for me throughout the week : (. Feel free to pop by my Facebook Page or drop in and visit my Facebook Group (just request to join if you're not a member already) and post some crafty pics or just stop by to chit chat (or stop by my other social media sites). You can find links to all my online hangouts on the right hand side of your page. Until next time... Happy Crafting! Hello! Have you seen the latest Paper Pumpkin kit? It's donuts! I will admit, I was a little disappointed because I was expecting Father's Day cards since that will be coming up next month. The April kit had stamps in it that you could use for Mother's Day as well as other occasions, but this kit doesn't have a Father's Day stamp in it. While it isn't necessarily a Father's Day set, it's still really cute and the possibilities for alternate cards/projects are definitely there. The inspiration for this card came from beautyscraps here on YouTube. I also played with some of the new products that will be coming out in June in the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up catalog, the daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy punch and the Eastern Beauty stamp set and matching Eastern Medallions dies. The inspiration for these bags came from DawnsStampingThoughts here on YouTube. I went live on Facebook yesterday to share the Sprinkled With Love Paper Pumpkin, my alternate card and the cute little bags. If you'd like to check that video out, you can find it below. If you like the video, be sure to subscribe to my channel and give me a thumbs up. My apologies for the upside down view of the video. For some reason, my phone (which is what I record with) refuses to rotate when I do my live videos on Facebook, which really confuses me since it will rotate when I film a video on my phone for YouTube. If you've never tried Paper Pumpkin and would like to check it out, sign up through me by June 10th and you can receive a 25% discount on your first three month's kits. The kits are only $19.95 (plus tax) each month which is already a good deal, but with the 25% discount, it's an even better deal! You can cancel anytime if you decide the kits aren't for you... don't worry, there won't be any penalties. If you'd like to sign up, just find the Paper Pumpkin button on my right hand sidebar. Signing up is quick and easy! Before checking out, be sure to enter the promo code, STARTHERE, in the provided box in order to get your discount!
If you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin, ordering Stampin' Up products through me or about the projects I made in the video, just leave me a comment below or you can message or email me by using the message box at the bottom of the page or by clicking the email icon along the right hand side of your page. until next time... Happy Crafting! Hello! In today's post, I'm sharing a video I shot live on Facebook. You'll have to forgive that it's shot upside down. I use my phone to record my videos and although my videos that I make on YouTube are upright, for some reason, when I do Facebook Live videos, my phone just refuses to flip the screen. I hope you'll enjoy the video anyway. Don't you just love the new In Colors? Which is your favorite? Mine are Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist.
I am also so glad I purchased the Eastern Palace Suite. does this set not look like it is going to be so versatile and fun to play with? Can't wait to play with it some more. I hope you'll leave a comment below and let me know what you think of the new In Colors and the new products I used as well as what you thought of my cards. While you're watching the video, you can click over to my YouTube site and subscribe to my channel, if you'd like. I'd also love it if you could pop on over to my social media accounts and follow me there. : ) Thanks for joining me today! Until next time... Happy Crafting!
